Ralph Rogers founder of World Backgrounds passed away quietly on November 7th at his home in Devon, England. He was a pioneer in stock footage and even earned the nickname “Mr. Stock Footage” back in the late 60’s when he worked on projects like The Saint, Gideon’s Way and so many others. Although based in the U.K. he entered the US market through his good friend Larry Dorn. Ralph was a delight and his kindness, sense of humor and magnetism will not soon be forgotten by anyone who had the great, good fortune to know him.
