FOCAL is continuing with its Mentoring Programme to help and provide guidance to people willing to grow a career in the archive industry and to break into the film footage world. FOCAL is looking for newcomers to the archive/footage or individuals who aspire to develop their careers in various aspects of the archive industry.

About:

Mentoring Period April 2024 - October 2024

The programme aims to help and match industry mentors to provide guidance to people wishing to grow a career in all areas of the archive industry. We accept applications from the UK and internationally, closing deadline 28 February 2024. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed early March.

The Mentoring Programme takes place over Zoom and in-person when possible.

Fee:
As a not-for-profit trade organisation, to help us deliver the Mentoring Programme we ask the successful mentees to pay a small fee of £50. In return not only do you take part in the programme with all the benefits to grow your career, you also receive:

  • Free participation on all FOCAL online workshops until December 2024 (normal non-member price £15 per workshop)
  • Access to past workshop recording from 2021 to 2023
  • Annual Associate Membership valued at £25
  • FOCAL industry newsletters and FOCALPoint online magazine
