The Training Committee sees the future of the film archive and stock footage market as dependent on developing and maintaining workforce skills. With this aim in mind, the committee will formulate, promote, and host training initiatives and suggest, consider, review, and support projects to develop and maintain the skills required by footage and content industry partners.

The committee consists of FOCAL members with a specific interest in training, whether from library, facility or researcher backgrounds, and is chaired by a member of the FOCAL Executive who reports back to the FOCAL Executive Council.
