The BP Video Library holds a fantastic archive dating back to the 1900s including Oscar and BAFTA winning films. BP's operations span over 100 countries and although the collection focuses on the oil industry it also holds an extensive range of both historic and more recent footage from around the world. The collection comprises more than 15 000 tapes from rare footage shot on the early explorations to the more recent advances in solar energy. The global reach of the collection means we have excellent local colour and landscapes from remote villages as far away as Indonesia Colombia and Algeria. BP has been committed to film from the early days of the company and our early footage of the Middle East is unrivaled. Other films of note include the 1961 Oscar winning short film 'Giuseppina' BBC2 trade test films like 'The Home-Made Car' and commercials and adverts broadcast over the many years from brands like National Benzole Castrol and Burmah Oil.
