M+Co is a content production company offering premium research, writing, and creative services for arts and culture ventures. For 25 years M+Co has produced historical and archival image research, position papers, and editorial services for the media industry; M+Co offers stills and/or footage research and rights management for features and documentary films; M+Co advises creative executives and enterprises from filmmakers, authors and exhibit designers, to gallerists, musicians, non-profits. M+Co’s principal, Melissa Totten, is a multiple Los Angeles area Emmy award-winning arts documentary producer, a past director of 20th Century Fox’s photography archive, and a published writer and editor of art monographs, essays and catalogues. Melissa Totten graduated magna cum laude from Wesleyan University (B.A.) and the University of Texas at Austin (M.A.) in American Studies. She pursued further training at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, the Poynter Institute, and the George Eastman House.
