Long Run Productions is a film, media and art production company dedicated to creating positive and meaningful interventions in our world. Working with educational and research institutions, as well in the international documentary market, we have been involved in the creation of documentaries and social media projects that offer new ways of engaging with the past and making sense of the present. Our core interest lies in high end non-fictional storytelling and in creating accessible ways for people to engage critically with philosophy, history, science and the visual arts.

Founded in September 2020, Long Run Productions pitched a co-production with Boulis Films, The Secret of the Owl at the 2021 Thessaloniki Doc Festival Agora Pitching Forum, where it won the ERT Award for the Best Greek Pitch. The documentary, a musical portrait of Athens through the eyes of its taxi drivers was chosen to take part in the 2021 MFI Doc Lab script workshop with a scholarship from EKOME.

At the same time, throughout this bicentenary year Long Run is posting a live news stream from the Greek War of Independence for the Laskaridis Foundation and Initiative 2021 (@news1821 / @eidiseis1821 on Twitter), as well as supporting the project with multimedia promotional works.

Long Run headed the archive research team for the Committee “Greece 2021” documentary “Σε γνωρίζω απ’την Όψη”produced by AnimaSyros. We have worked with Horsefly Films, Tanweer Productions and History Docs on documentary productions, particularly in relation to archive research and clearance. Other Long Run productions include a series of short films to promote the British School of Archaeology at Athens (in post-production) and a bio documentary about a photographer who has worked in Greece since the mid 1950’s (in development).
